Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop hiring only four individuals. Overall sales for that year totaled sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Through 5 years of operation, the business had stretched to forty employees and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is one of the top international manufacturers within the material handling trade.
Design and manufacturing of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively pursue better business opportunities. All through the final sixty years, the business of material handling has grown into a really advanced field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade currently continues to grow as the premier provider of lift truck accessories and different associated items. During the nineteen fifties, Cascade began to make, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in the year 1956, so as to house all the plant operations and offices in Portland, Oregon, which remains to be the company's current headquarters. Subsequent to 15 years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached practically two million three hundred thousand dollars.
A second manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Long Beach. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the global world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its production plants throughout the U.S. with locations in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Long Beach. Cascade merchandise are fabricated worldwide because of a lot of subsidiary operations. Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 after buying five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international leader in forks.
